As a recreation professional, we wear many hats. Due to the aging demographic shift, there is an increased need for social services programming being one of the hats we now wear. For some cities, hiring a social worker is not a possibility. This session will explore how to provide a range of valuable, resources to your community. We will explore how to identify the need for a particular resource, the organizations to select resources from, the vetting process and how to train your team and volunteers to provide these resources and services as the demand increases in your community.
