Session Description: "But it's not perfect yet!!" Perfectionism is striving for flawlessness in your performance and setting high behavioral standards, thoughts that are usually accompanied by critical self-evaluations regarding others' evaluations. When perfectionism manifests in the workplace, it is expressed through emotional and behavioral intensity, which can make managing it very difficult. Perfectionism can manifest in adaptive and maladaptive aspects, and it is helpful to help our teams understand their unique needs to point them in the healthiest directions. Successfully managing perfectionism can be about releasing anxiety as well as moving from negative to positive aspects of perfectionism. This presentation will focus on how to intervene with perfectionism, presenting practical and concrete strategies for use at home, at work, in the community, and within teams.

Upon completion, participants will be able to distinguish between adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism.
