President & Principal
110% , Inc.
Salida, Colorado
Jamie has spent her entire adult life serving the park and recreation profession.
Having had the privilege of testifying to the United States Congress on the critical importance of public lands and recreation, she is a self-described “disappointed idealist” believing society should be fueled by anger and love in order to do what may not be popular, but necessary.
Jamie has been an active member of NRPA serving in a variety of leadership roles, a past President of the American Park and Recreation Society, and inducted into the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration in 2008.
Other stuff:
An enthusiastic but bad dancer. Excitable when in the presence of a dog. She loves the idea of being a marathoner – dosn’t have the legs.
Vertically challenged or “fun size”, She's the last one to know it’s raining.
Mom from Appalachia. Father an immigrant from the middle east. Jamie is a curious combo of the two. Native of the Chicagoland area, she bleeds Cubbie Blue with a dog named Wrigley. Enough said.
With a grandfather who was a carpenter, woodworking is in her DNA. The mountains of Colorado are where she calls home. Hiking is a way of life.
Halloween birthday. Nickname: Pumpkin.
Started 110% Inc in 2010. If you don’t know 110%, Google it. 30+ years serving the parks and recreation profession as a practitioner, educator, consultant.
Presentations given in North America and Europe to thousands. Jamie calls out the elephant in the room. Why not?
Jamie has been privileged to spend her entire adult life and career serving the park and recreation profession doing something she loves. Not everyone can say that.
