Senior Project Associate
Center for Creative Land Recycling
Berkley, California
As a Senior Program Associate, Sarah predominately works in expanding CCLR's expertise and impact in three main domains: Open Space Development, Environmental Justice Data, and Nature-Based Solutions. Within these sectors, Sarah helps drives relevant resource development and programmatic strategy, including community outreach, education opportunities, research initiatives and partnership building. Sarah graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications, Activism, and Advocacy. Her independent study and thesis critically evaluated Web3 and drew on larger theories around how digital design, infrastructure, and governance systems reproduce and amplify existing inequality. Following this, Sarah returned home to the Bay Area and completed a certificate in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley’s Environmental School of Design, where she honed in her passion to design systems that promote cohesive environmental and social health, resilience, and sustainability for all community members, human and nonhuman alike. Before coming to CCLR, Sarah was a Design, Planning, and Architecture intern for the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department where she worked on groundbreaking equitable park development plans.
