Tara Bhuthimethee believes in long-term planning for the benefit of both current and future generations. As a landscape architect and park planner with over two decades of experience creating community through consensus building, designing public spaces, creating master plans, and planning parks, Tara takes the centuries-long view when planning parkland and striving to achieve better park equity.
Tara leads a team of landscape architects and urban foresters as the Parks Planning and Design manager, and is the public arts administrator at the City of Fremont. She has served on the City of Dublin’s Planning Commission for eight years, with two years as the Commission Chair; she currently serves as the Board Secretary of the City of Fremont’s Art Review Board; and she holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Dublin Partners in Education. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business degree from San Francisco State’s Executive MBA Program.
