Ariel is a current pediatric occupational therapist with clinical experiences in an outpatient clinic and school setting as well as is an inclusive play specialist at Landscape Structures Inc (LSI). In her clinical work, Ariel works with patients and their families ages 18 months – 21 years old with a variety of diagnoses and has completed an Advanced Intensive Mentorship, Level 1 with the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing to better serve those with sensory processing challenges. Ariel was inspired to pursue a degree in occupational therapy (OT) as she participated in her own Autistic brother's OT growing up as a child. Ariel's partnership with LSI began in 2022 to complete her capstone project that focused on the development of an educational presentation regarding how various pediatric conditions impact a child’s ability to play to help bridge the gap between the playground industry and the healthcare field. Ariel continues to use her clinical and academic knowledge to help inform the inclusive design process and continue education to designers.
