Joe Perez is an executive manager with the City of Anaheim’s Community Services Department and leads the Human and Neighborhood Services Division that serves and supports youth, families, older adults, and neighborhoods. He has dedicated his entire 30+ year career to the City of Anaheim and its residents, since his junior year at Anaheim High School coaching sports for the Parks and Recreation Department.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from California State University, Fullerton in Human Services with a minor in Public Administration and has held key leadership positions at various levels managing youth and family programs throughout his entire tenure with Anaheim. In addition, Joe has held key leadership positions with the California School Age Consortium, the California Park and Recreation Society - Youth Leadership Academy, and the Southern California Teen Coalition. Most recently, Joe leads the Anaheim Human Services Network, on behalf of the City of Anaheim, that convenes 106 local non-profit, community, faith, and educational service agencies to foster communication and engagement in the community. The network also serves a vital role as a partnership and collaboration platform to ensure key community stakeholders are leveraging their resources as best possible to strengthen the overall provision of supportive services to residents.
