Scott Getman is the Community Services Supervisor overseeing the Senior Center in Central Park, bringing over 12 years of experience in recreation and wellness. With a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Florida Gulf Coast University and a master’s degree in Nutrition from Logan University, Scott is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Personal Trainer.
Scott played a pivotal role in the development of the Hoag Health & Wellness Pavilion when the Senior Center in Central Park was built in 2015. From selecting state-of-the-art equipment and designing the facility layout to creating marketing strategies, curating fitness classes, and establishing hours of operation, Scott led every aspect of the project.
Beyond his work in fitness, Scott’s career spans aquatics, after-school programming, summer camps, youth and adult sports, and special events. He has delivered numerous lectures on health and wellness topics and is a trusted advisor for municipalities seeking to implement or enhance fitness programming for seniors.
In 2025, Scott will present at the CPRS conference, guiding participants on designing fitness centers for senior centers. His expertise is particularly valuable for professionals in senior services, the fitness industry, and organizational leaders planning to incorporate wellness-focused spaces into future projects.
