Kim Beranek, CPRE is the Director of Community Services for the City of Fremont. Kim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration from California State University Chico and has over 30 years professional experience in the field of recreation and commercial waterparks. She has a successful record working in both private industry and municipal recreation including project management and the start-up of three large waterparks. In Kim’s role as a Director of the 4th largest City in the Bay Area she has oversight of the Recreation Services, Park Planning & Design, and Urban Forestry. Kim is responsible for a $25 million operating budget and operates one the highest cost recovery recreation divisions in the country. Kim has a passion for improving the lives of the residents she serves and has been an integral part of the City of Fremont Park & Recreation Master Plan Process. Kim has been a prior presenter at California Park & Recreation and at World Waterpark Association conferences.
